McMurdo's Old Nuclear Power Plant

I recently found a news story on a rash of cancers that has appeared in several Navy veterans who spent time at McMurdo Station in the 1960s and 1970s. During that time, the station was powered by a nuclear power plant, which apparently didn't work very well.
